MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – December 20, 2010 5:00 PM
Selectmen Present: Eric R. Munson, Jr., Steven DellaGiustina and Thomas Paine
Also Present: Wayne Carr, Department of Public Works, Superintendent
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted.
Valerie Nickerson, Tolland Board of Health Agent and Joanne Duval, Transfer Station Administrator will be asked to meet with the Selectmen to discuss the Solid Waste Law update in January.
Attorney Jeremia Pollard will be contacted for any legal suggestions on what the Board of Selectmen can do with the condition of Moreau Road.
Wayne presented the board with two bids for the removal of the asbestos panels located in the boiler room at the Department of Public Works. Wayne had three different companies come and review the project but only two responded back with a quote.
Top-Notch Abatement $1,850.00
Abide $1,980.00
The project was awarded unanimously to Top-Notch Abatement.
Further discussion was had regarding obituaries being place in the Tolland Tattler. The board voted to leave the printing of the full obituary up to the discretion of the families. The Board of Selectmen will make a statement of condolences.
